The Machars triangle is a maze of minor roads and four graded cycle routes. The area has a rugged landscape and an abundance of wildlife for the keen cyclist.
Kirroughtree is one of the best mountain biking centres in the UK. The centre has colour coded routes for different cycling levels; a forest trail and farm tracks, children’s play area, café and bike shop.
There are many beautiful coastal walks in the area. Galloway House, Cruggleton Castle, and Rigg Bay are all within walking distance.
Launch your own boat from the slipway at Garlieston or chartered fishing is available at the Isle of Whithorn.

Countless rugged bays and cliffs, coastal walks all serve to ignite your sense of wonder in nature. Nearby Rigg Bay is a tree lined sandy beach suitable for swimming and paddling.
